This is the first time i went to Cambodia for CIP purpose and first time taking the aeroplane. I really enjoy this trip a lot and from this trip i had learn a lot things. When we were in the aeroplane, i felt very nervous and excited as i did not take an aeroplane before.
When the first parents briefing was held i heard that we will going to stay in the village and i was a little scare as i did not stay in a village before, but when we arrived at the home stay i was shocked, the home stay had mattress and netting. We will all in a comfortable situation. When we ask the teacher where do they stay when we sleep at their house and the teacher said that they had build a small house for themselves. I felt very sad when i heard that.
It took 3 hours to travelled from the airport to the village. Along the way, our tour guide, Mr Pisey, told us lots of things about Cambodia History. Without him, we would know nothing about Cambodia. During this 3 hours trip, all the leaders are sleeping soundly except for the 3 zai guy (SO BHB!!). Looking at the leaders sleeping, i knew that all of them really done lots of preparation for this trip.
We help the Cambodians to build well, make clean water and distribute rice and noodles to the poor ones. We even had a chance to go to the waterfall to play in the waterfall. We went through lots of difficulty (eg, walking in a narrow pathway, climbing the rocks ) to reach the waterfall. This is the first time i have been to a waterfall. The most memorable thing is we helped them make a bio-filter thing although i am not in the group. I did lots of thing that i did not do in home during the making of the bio-filter thing. (eg, washing things) I learn that we need to save water as not all of us had water to drink.
At the last day, we had a chance to stay in the hotel but i rather sleep in the home stay as we can get to sleep together and natural air-conditioning. We went to the Tuol Sleng Museum and we saw lots of pictures that describe the war during the old days. We saw the instrument they use to torture the victims and the skulls. I felt very sad and wanted to vomit when i saw all the pictures.
How i wish that i could went back to Cambodia to find those kids with my friends and teachers. it is really a good and memorable trip. I hope everyone had enjoyed and learnt something in this Cambodia trip. CHEERS!! ~~~ :D
