My Cambodia Experience. My Memories.

" Oh gosh, i'm gonna suffer the four days in Cambodia. " This was my thoughts before the trip. To be honest, i really was not looking forward to the trip as i was afraid it would waste my holiday away and i would not be enjoying. Yet all i could say now is that i really enjoyed and gained a lot from this 4D3N trip. Going there makes me feel just so different from the urban life we are living in. They may be living in poverty, but they are not weak. They are strong as whole, where all the people in the village as one. They care for each other and all the joys and sorrows are shared. Love is shown, even to people who are not of their own kin. In our life here in Singapore, we get a better living condition, better food, better environment, better quality of life. But we do not see love like how it is shown in cambodia.

Their life may be hard, but it is simpler. The smiles are so easily brought onto the people's faces, you see smiles and laughters everywhere. The children there might be younger than us, but they were taught to live their life well and happily. We play electionic devices, we live in a life covered with technology. While the children there, they live playing just on a patch of grass, where cow dungs and muds are everywhere. Yet, all those fun they have, is much more valuable than the happiness we get from technology.

Giving out rice grains, noodles, notebooks, donations, performing for them, brought them happiness. Those laughters that went into my ears and touched my heart, it's really hard to get. The feeling which makes you feel that everything you do there can make the people happy. When i accidentally slit open the bag of rice, those heartaches that i hear, were really killing me. I could understand how much each grain of rice mean to them. Yet people like us are all wasting food. I've learnt not to waste food and be glad for what we have. We might have it in this life, but not in the next one. We have to make the best result out of the opportunities we have for that we will not be able to turn back time, but we can make sure that the next time when we think back, we will not regret what we have done.
