This is my first time going to cambodia for cip purposes, I had always thought that cambodia is less developed country, which is very dirty. But when I reached cambodia, I was wrong. Cambodia wasn't as dirty as what I thought.
It is my first time staying in a home stay at the villages. At first, I thought it will be horrible to stay as from what I see from the picture. But in fact, the home stay was kind of cosy and comfortable to stay in. The villages had even made an effort to put mattress, pillows and netting for us. The villages there is also very friendly, the kids, parents, Mr Cham too. During the night, we had performed for the villages to see. We had also gave out lightsticks to the kids, the kids there were very happy upon receiving those lightsticks. Seeing them happy, warms my heart.
We also built well for the villages there. It's my very first time building a well, I find it fun. We had also made a human chain to carry and pass bricks, sands, cements around. All these required alot of co-operation and team work in it. After so long, we had finally managed to finish building the well. We also went treeking to the waterfall. When we finally reached the waterfall, we went down to play with the water. Water is so cooling! And we had a great time playing with our friends there.
On the third day, we had distribute rice and noodles for the villages. I have learnt not to waste any food. As the people here, had not enough food to eat. We also went to a primary school to play games with the children there and went to give them donations. The children were very happy when we gave them colouring books, notebooks and some sweets. Seeing them smile, made my day well.
After all the meetings we had, our hard work had finally paid off. I had a wonderful time with all the leaders in cambodia. Through this 4day 3night cambodia trip, I have learnt the how important is resources to them and I will not waste food. If I have a chance to go to cambodia again, I would like to go and help the people there.
